HUUR OPGEZEGD! LEASE CONTRACT TERMINATED!

Beste iedereen,

Helaas heeft Stichting Kinetisch Noord per 1 augustus het huurcontract met Stichting Skatepark Amsterdam op het NDSM terrein eenzijdig opgezegd.

Wij betreuren dat er na bijna 12 jaar op deze wijze een einde is gemaakt aan de samenwerking tussen Stichting Kinetisch Noord en Stichting Skatepark Amsterdam. Stichting Skatepark Amsterdam is mede initiatiefnemer geweest voor een van de grootste kunst en cultuur broedplaatsen van Europa, de NDSM werf, wat sindsdien wordt beheerd door Stichting Kinetisch Noord.

Sinds december zijn wij in onderhandeling geweest over een eventueel nieuw huurcontract met Stichting Kinetisch Noord. Wij waren verrast met de recente mededeling dat Stichting Kinetisch Noord deze onderhandelingen heeft stop gezet en ervoor heeft gekozen om de huur op te zeggen.

Stichting Kinetisch Noord heeft aangegeven dat zij de NDSM loods wil herontwikkelen. Zij heeft hierin haar wens uitgesproken om dit te doen zonder Skatepark en is bezig nieuwe plannen te ontwikkelen voor de west-zijde in de loods.

Op dit moment vechten we hard om tot een oplossing te komen voor het voortbestaan van Skatepark Amsterdam. Jullie steun, zoals een facebook bericht of email waarderen wij enorm!

Dear everybody,

Unfortunately, the Kinetisch Noord Foundation has terminated the property lease contract for Skatepark Amsterdam at the NDSM area for the 1st of August.

We regret that after almost 12 years there has been made an end to the cooperation between the Kinetisch Noord Foundation and the Skatepark Amsterdam Foundation. Skatepark Amsterdam was co-initiator for starting the biggest art and culture breading area of Europe, the NDSM wharf, which since then has been managed by the Kinetisch Noord Foundation.

Since december talks about a possible new lease contract with Kinetisch Noord Foundation took place. We were surprised with the recent announcement that the Kinetisch Noord Foundation put a halt to the negotiations and chose to terminate the current lease contract.

The Kinetisch Noord Foundation made clear that they want to re-develop the NDSM warehouse. It has expressed the desire to do this without Skatepark Amsterdam and is developping new plans for the warehouse's west-site where the park is situated right now.

At this time we are fighting hard to come to a solution for Skatepark Amsterdam's future. Your support, such as facebook messages and emails, we appreciate enormously.
